The 277-room 11-story boutique hotel was opened in December 2015 and designed with sophistication and imagination by The Stonehill Taylor. The team used the classic bones of the original hotel as the basis upon which they built a new personality. Designelements also include Arizona’s Five C’s – copper, cotton, citrus, cattle and climate in their use of materials throughout. The overarching design concept was “refined revelry”: remixing classic luxury. Classic columns and marble flooring are combined with contemporary flair and fun. The Southwest is present using the state’s colors and vivid landscape with displays of copper elements and pops of turquoise throughout the property.
