True to form, the experiential Hard Rock brand continues to expand. With a total of 200 venues in 64 countries, including 154 cafes, 21 hotels and 10 casinos, the Hard Rock Brand is globally recognized and known for its collection of music and collectible fashion-related memorabilia.
The Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya is one of their four current all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotels. All-inclusive resorts are typical vacation strategies for Mexican and Caribbean resorts where most everything is included with the exception of spa treatments, excursions and some premium alcohol and food. HRH is trying to carve new meaning into the all-inclusive experience with its Rock Royalty Level Program where guests are treated like celebrities.
Granted, 1,264 is a lot of hotel rooms for one resort, but the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya’s Adults-Only “Heaven” section, combined with its Rock Royalty Level Program, manages to give guests a more intimate experience with its “resort within a resort” concierge level. Four restaurants, three bars and lounges, a nightclub, outdoor pools and a private beach with pool loungers and cabanas make up the property.
The vacation experience at the Rock Royalty Level comes with lots of perks. The luxury offerings start with a VIP check-in, where you meet your personal assistant and receive express luggage delivery. You can choose a scent for your room from the aromatherapy menu, as well as order special pillows. Not only can they be therapeutic, down, or hypoallergenic, the choices also include lavender & chamomile. Plush bathrobes, sleeping masks, loofah and bath salts are included in the upgraded amenities. Nightly Petit Fours, Premium Liquors, mini bar snacks, a la carte room service from any of the four restaurants and an Espresso coffee machine make up the food and beverage perks. Take advantage of all the offerings: ironing service of two items per stay and complimentary shoeshine, a 25-minute couple’s massage and spa tub preparation, curated music playlists and priority reservations pool loungers and activities on and off the property.
The Rock Spa has 75 treatment rooms, yet somehow manages to feel intimate. Nicely appointed, there is a flow and sense to the place. With a treatment, indulge in the hydrotherapy going from hot sauna, to cold sauna, to steam and hot tub for the ultimate in relaxation before the relaxation of the treatment.
No matter which part of the hotel you choose to stay in, no one is short changed. All rooms have a balcony and large hydro tubs. The rooms are all ample sized, and there’s plenty of swimming and dining options.
