Located on a cliff top at the tip of the Baja Peninsula in Millionaire’s Row in Los Cabos, sits the Hacienda Encantada beach front resort. Perched between the Sea of Cortez, Land’s End arch and the San Jose coastline, the resort has breathtaking panorama views of crystal blue water and the desert environment of towering rocks and cacti.

ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN
Hacienda Encantada is family-owned and one can easily tell with the welcoming environment and attention to detail. Designer Lourdes Macias is part of the family and studied interior design at the Instituto De La Veracruz in Guadalajara. Constructed in a contemporary Mexican hacienda style with traditional Mexican architecture, the hand-made Talavera tile murals, Spanish colonial fountains and earth tone accents lend a welcoming and cultural feel.

THE ROOMS
The 150 all-suite rooms come with kitchens or kitchenettes that bring the “home away from home” to your room. The modern and comfortably furnished rooms have handcrafted furniture, textiles and artwork from colonial cities in Mexico. Each suite has a balcony with the stunning view.

The resort has their own brand of amenities and even provides a “Spanish Helper” booklet to help guests use the Spanish language in a fun way while visiting Mexico.

DINING
The culinary offerings at Hacienda Encantada delight the senses with authentic gourmet Mexican Food. Three Hacienda-inspired eateries include the cliff-top balcony restaurant Las Marias; the colonial-inspired La Trajinera known for its signature cocktails and Los Riscos Bar & Grill, the terrace restaurant with a backdrop of the waves. They also have poolside options such as El Eden for Tequila and Tacos, La Pergola Restaurant & Pool Bar and El Patio Snack & Pool Bar.

THE SPA
The Spa may be small, but they have a creative array of unique spa treatments that provide guests with relaxation, rejuvenation and a sense of wellness. The newest treatment has “thought outside the glass” with the launch of a Mezcal-infused skin treatment using the hotel’s very own brand of MezcalMezcalotherapy provides essential nutrients, deep hydration, and works to accelerate the production of collagen and skin elasticity. The new treatment also works to clarify and unify the skin, which in turn, helps to prevent premature aging. The treatment is inclusive of both the facial and body wrap, that uses mezcal; a Mexican spirit, lime and chaya; commonly known as the Maya miracle plant.

ACTIVITIES
One does not need to venture beyond the property with its pools, spa and restaurants, but if you are restless, the concierge will make it easy for guests to golf, fish, engage in water sports, take a nature or adventure tours or simply shop, shop, shop.
